Gatekeeper and Meadow butterflies are particularly abundant. Two other species are noteworthy, namely, the Small Skipper and Dingy Skipper, although quite widespread locally are by no means common. The Dingy Skipper was first recorded at the site by Dr Richard Birch a few years ago, and it now appears as though it is established on the site which is great news.
