Menter Môn work with Wild Landfill, Penhesgyn to eradicate American Mink
‘Smart’ trap trial raises hopes American mink can be driven from UK Conservation groups target ‘impossible dream' of eradicating invasive predators after success of East Anglia trial.
Laura Hough from Menter Môn is using the smart trap techniques at Penhesgyn Wild Landfill Site to help eradicate American Mink in the area and along the Afon/River Braint. This should lead to a significant improvement in the resident Water Vole, fish and amphibian populations, helping to restore the ecosystem balance at the site.
